On 30th December, I gave in to the voices shouting in my head. Even though I was supposed to be hard at work on the final book in the Wraidd Elfennol series (Fire in the Rain), I decided to start a contemporary women's fiction novella.
Surprisingly enough, I finished the first draft yesterday! It is only a short novella - the draft stands at roughly 21k words. Parts of it were very easy to write, parts of it incredibly hard. I've already sent it out to my amazing beta readers, and they will tell me if it is any good, or if it just needs to pay visit to the nearest bin!
Here is the blurb to Disjointed Lives:
Promotions Manager, Ava Reese, has all she ever wanted: a fantastic husband, a great job, a good life. But her past haunts her.
Although she thought she had left the darkness behind long ago, her dreams start to haunt her during the day, making her question everything she has.
Ava hopes that meeting with her best friend, Paige, will help her find peace again. Can they put Ava’s dreams to rest, or will the past destroy everything Ava has so carefully built?
So, now that's done, I can continue with Afon and Necia from Fire in the Rain, before they start shouting at me too.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you all bright and early next week. Well, I won't, because it will be nose to the grindstone, but you know where I'm coming from! Have fun! :)
